Millonarios Orlando easily manhandled Team Deportivo in another clinical victory. There is not much to detail, as the game resembled a training ground practice with Millos dominating their inferior opposition from start to finish. Playing in their usual 4-4-2 formation, Millos was led up front by Diego Cordeiro and Taylor Moore. Securing the midfield was Philip Hall and Christian Bustamante flanked by Luciano Mendieta and Brian Phillips. Nick Hall and Phillip Kats held down the defense supported by Lee Speight and Juan Pablo Londono on the right and left respectively. Stellar goalkeeper Sam Luedke anchored Millos in goal.

Throughout the first half Millos easily distributed the ball and maintained the majority of possession. Philip Hall controlled the midfield both offensively and defensively; he completely dominated the center of the pitch and dictated the flow of the game. The opening goal came from Diego Cordeiro after about 20 minutes of dominating possession by Millos. After a good run a play in the midfield Cordeiro collected the ball, easily sent a defender the wrong way and had a nice combination with Christian Bustamante. The ball was sent forward slightly ahead of Cordeiro but his pressure caused the error from the inept keeper. His clearance only got as far as Cordeiro who deflected the ball back towards goal to give Millos a well-deserved 1-0 lead. Millos continued their dominance for the remainder of the first half and Deportivo had little chance to score. Lee Speight did provide a first half highlight in defense tracking down the lone breakaway. Christian Bustamante created many chances for himself opening up space for several shot attempts but was unable to find the target. Taylor Moore also had several chances running through the defense with ease but Millos lacked the finishing touch on crosses and through balls in the box.

In the second half Millonarios once again had Deportivo scrambling to find something, anything at all that they could use to prevent the onslaught. The Millos defense continued to shutdown the attack and clear any wayward attempt at through balls from Deportivo. The second goal couldn’t have been any more fitting. After a classy display of skill throughout the entire match, Christian Bustamante was rewarded for his efforts. He created space in the midfield after dribbling past two hopeless members of Deportivo and took a right-footed shot on goal from distance. Clearly the ‘Soccer Gods’ were on Millos’ side because the ball took a miraculous bounce over the keeper. This gift from above gave Millos a comfortable 2-0 and sealed the fate of Deportivo. Millos had several more chances in the second half including a header from Philip Hall that struck the post. Substitute Rossell Duran also should have found the back of the net after finding himself unmarked and 4 yards from the goal line but was unable to keep his shot on frame. Towards the end of the game the Millos defense did allow one shot on goal because they felt that keeper Sam Luedke shouldn’t get such an easy day at the office, he easily parried the shot wide. Man of the match for this one is defender Lee Speight for his stellar defensive play and especially for his Bruce Lee-esque karate kick to the face of a Deportivo player!

In the end Millonarios Orlando came out on top, once again, as they always will against inferior and mediocre teams that lack talent, class, and are unaware as to how the beautiful game of soccer should be played. Leading up to the game Deportivo went out of their way to post a match preview that was latent with hidden insults and cloaked racism. Well this is a DIRECT message to the team representative responsible for that literature; you are a royal piece of shit!

Apparently, the rumor is that the reason the oppositions “website coordinator” is able to analyze other teams so thoroughly and accurately is due to the lack of playing time his team provides him with. But let us be the one to inform you that although this individual is deprived from his minutes on the pitch due to lack of futbol ability; its critical that we expose this individual, to what seems to us like his only strength when given his 5 disgraceful minutes on the pitch: dancing like a ballerina (with a lame bandana on):

Apart from all the speculation and great team analysis the opposition was able to provide earlier this week, they will continue to sit below Millonarios on the league table looking up, something they are VERY familiar with.

Millos Orlando continues their run for their 3rd consecutive championship this Tuesday March 23rd, 2010 vs. The Spartans. Check Match schedule for details and come out and support the blue!
